Northwest Energy Angels Adds Brian Arbogast to its Board of Directors
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 5:00PM Seattle, WA – November 15, 2011 – Northwest Energy Angels, the Pacific Northwest’s only angel group focused exclusively on providing early-stage capital to cleantech entrepreneurs, announced that Brian Arbogast has joined the board of directors. Arbogast will join the current six board members, including co-chair’s Byron McCann and Lars Johansson, to create successful cleantech companies and a vibrant cleantech industry in the Pacific Northwest through cleantech angel investing.
“I would love to see Seattle, and the Pacific Northwest more broadly, become the best place in the world for a cleantech startup,” said Arbogast. “Northwest Energy Angels plays a key role in the cleantech world, convening an angel community that is supporting those entrepreneurs who are defining the leading edge of innovation.”
Arbogast joined the Northwest Energy Angels in 2010 and has been engaged in cleantech angel investing since 2007. For the past 25 years, Arbogast has led teams of software developers at Microsoft serving as a Corporate Vice President for his last 10 years. Most recently, he was responsible for delivering the mobile services strategy, platform and experiences for Windows Live and Windows Mobile. His research and development efforts spanned campuses in the U.S., China, Israel and Portugal.
